nice, small, and tucked away, this sunterra is one of my favourite ones to go to because it's small and secluded and they have a great patio space. the grocery selection isn't as extensive as other locations in Calgary, but the food and atmosphere are wonderful. the chicken/pesto flatbread is to DIE for.
I like their dessert and cooked food - also good for quick food. they used quality ingredients and have spots to eat as well so it’s not only a grab and go
The ready to go meals here are incredible!! Home cooked feel but better! And lots of healthy options! I could eat here everyday! Note: the pictures do not do justice! There’s way more food than this, and it’s always a different variety!
This is a delightful little grocery store and caffe! Central location, close to the major intersection of Kensington Road and Crowchild Trail, everything from ready-to-eat meals to fresh produce to juice to smoothies to frozen goods to everything else they can fit into the little place, as you can see in my photos. Super friendly staff, rustic picnic tables to chill out and dine at if you have the time!
Unexpected location for a Sunterra, but the cafe has a patio and the servers were friendly and helpful. The building is modern and the renovations are chic. The food is excellent. Good value on the breakfast menu. The breakfast biscuit was superb and flatbreads were tasty. Portions are reasonable (i.e. a medium serving size) and food is high quality and nutritious. Close proximity to the bike paths and river make it a good destination for a break from a walk or bicycle ride off the Bow River. Glad to see this additional to the community.
Melese was such a great help giving out options of what to eat. Ended up getting the mushroom medley quiche and cheddar broccoli quiche, both were so delicious
Came here for a dinner date with my husband. The food was so delicious and fresh. My husband got the Rotisserie chicken meal, and I got the roast beef. The proteins both were divine - the Rotisserie chicken was so tender and juicy with a perfect spicy skin. My roast beef was fall apart soft, and the gravy the put ontop was delicious but not overpowering, but I wish they had horse radish for the roast. Our sides were both perfection - with roasted veggies and roasted mini potatoes, which were as soon as any restaurant we have been to. All in all, we had a delicious meal for a quarter of the price it was worth in a traditional restaraunt, the service was very friendly, and the location was perfect to walk down into Kensington for Gelato.
Lovely people working here! They are always happy and beyond pleasant. I witnessed two employees dealing with an embarrassment of a man today, asking one of the employees if they “spoke English” when they very clearly did, and speaking to both of them as if they were children. They handled it with grace and kept the atmosphere kind throughout. I did my part and scolded the man myself afterwards. People like that deserve to be knocked down several pegs. The staff there are amazing. They deserve to always be treated as such. The food is also fantastic :)
